Update....

Yet again....
sigh....don't seem to have time for this much anymore at all....
life is going by way too fast.

Emma hates her hair done.
Will not let me put pig tails or even a clip in her hair.
And if she does, they're out within 30 minutes.
So with summer coming & all, here is her new do:


I really prefer her hair long & I LOVE her pig tails but...
what can 1 do, right?
She likes pretty underwear, she likes her toes & nails painted, she pretends to put on make up, but when it comes to her hair... nope... no luck there.

We went to Build A Bear & Nate got this (underneath the Spidey mask is a puppy):


He named him Chewy, after our boxer that died 4 years ago now.


I thought that was nice.

So it's been almost 6 months & I'm still waiting for my surgery date.
I did call there a couple weeks ago & they told me I'm really close.
Should know something in about a month...so I'm still waiting.
We're going on our vacation at end of July so hopefully they don't want to book it the week before that.
I'll have to ask them to book it for the week after if I can't get it at least 2 weeks before our vacation.
Let's hope I can get it 2 weeks before then I should be good to go back to work after our vacay.

So what else is new?
Oh yeah, Nate has 2 more days & he's officially done JK.
Wow, that was quick.

Did I say life is going by way too fast?
Kids have already started making up their Christmas list.
Seriously, it's only 6 months away & I usually start shopping in about 4 months so I guess they're not really that far ahead of the game, lol.

So I think that's it.
Hoping for some summer weather soon & count down to a week's vacation at a cottage on a lake with 3 meals a day cooked for me & me not worrying about anything but if we have clean swim suits & beer for the day... ahhhhh... heaven.....

Where has May gone?

Yesterday we had to bring Leia in for her Heart worm test & since E was working I had to bring both the kids with me.
On the way back, I don't know why, something made me turn into a yard sale.
Since it was a spur of a moment thing I didn't have much cash with me at all, so I don't really know what exactly I turned for but none the less we were able to score Emma a sweet ride. She loves it!


The moment she saw it she jumped into it & wouldn't come out.
All she kept saying is:
"I drive!! I drive mom!!"
The asking price was $20 but I only had $14 so I asked if they would consider letting it go for that & they did! Emma was so stoked!!

So now I had 1 child that got something & me out of money & another child that was whining that he didn't get anything.
So I had to drive to the nearest banking machine & go back to yard sales & get him something.
He got 2 little cars & a train. He was happy.


I do, however, think I created a monster.
He wants to go back next weekend to see if we can get more good stuff, lol.

Our weather today was nice. Sunny, a bit breezy but a bit chilly too.
My 2 children, however, thought it was nice enough to "swim" so they had dad set up their pool & put water in from the hose & they played in it all afternoon.

Recap & Independence...

Here is a bit of recap from Nathan's Birthday.
He turned 5 on May 3. Had a good party but he's lucky enough to have 2 parties.
This party was with E's side of the family & we're having a party for my dad's 60th birthday with my side of the family & Nate is being included in that for his birthday with my side of the family as well.






Soccer also started last week.
He's doing really really good at it & is having tons of fun.




Emma has become so independent in past little while.
She's still not night trained but has been day trained for quite some time, so when she gets up, takes her night diaper off & puts it in the garbage, lol.
Then she wants to do everything herself too.
She puts her shoes on.
she's even deciding which clothes to wear & which ones she doesn't like.
She's talking full sentences & a million words at a time.
The stuff she comes up with is just too fricking funny sometimes.


Well... I have a nice 4 day weekend & it's supposed to be beautiful!
